It is my great pleasure and honor to welcome you to the Fourth International Conference on Sustainable Mobility Applications, Renewables, and Technology (SMART 2026), hosted by the German Jordanian University (GJU) in Madaba, Jordan.

SMART 2026 continues a growing and successful conference series that has established itself as an important international forum for researchers, engineers, practitioners, industry experts, and policymakers working in the broad fields of sustainable mobility, renewable energy systems, green buildings, and smart and sustainable technologies. This edition reflects our strong commitment at GJU to advancing applied research, innovation, and impactful collaboration at the interface of energy, mobility, digitalization, and sustainability.

The technical program of SMART 2026 covers a wide spectrum of timely and critical topics, including electric and hybrid mobility, charging infrastructure, renewable energy systems, smart grids, energy-efficient buildings, industrial decarbonization, sustainable computing, and life-cycle and environmental assessment, among many others. These themes are not only at the core of current scientific and technological progress, but also directly address the pressing global challenges of climate change, resource efficiency, and sustainable development.

SMART 2026 is further strengthened by the active participation and collaboration of our international partners, in line with GJU’s unique mission of “Going Global”. The conference brings together distinguished keynote speakers, high-quality technical sessions, and vibrant discussions that foster knowledge exchange, cross-disciplinary dialogue, and new research and innovation partnerships.

Beyond the technical program, we hope that SMART 2026 will provide an inspiring environment for networking, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas, while also allowing our guests to experience the rich cultural and historical heritage of Jordan.

I warmly welcome you to SMART 2026 and wish you a productive, inspiring, and memorable conference.
